Bill Gates says Africa’s population growth needs to be controlled

Microsoft CEO and billionaire Bill Gates has revealed that there is a need to curb the ongoing population growth is in Africa.

According to Bill, although there is a decline in birthrate around the globe, Africa’s ratio steadily increases every year.

“The number of babies in the world goes down a tiny bit every year of the century, but its mix goes from being 25% in Africa to 50%,” says Bill.

Africa goes from a billion people to 4 billion people–when we get to 11 billion most of the increment will be in Africa.

Gates also stated that the only way the current population rate can stay at 9% is only if Africans are controlled, especially with the rate of birth.

“We can stay at 9% unless we do a lot of really good investments in health and education and good governance in Africa,” Gates concluded.
