Billionaire philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has announced that he plans to give away almost all his fortune in the next twenty years.
According to Bill, he plans to give 99% of his $112 billion wealth away within the next two decades leaving only $1.62 billion to himself.
This massive donation will be made through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation which was co-founded by Bill Gates himself alongside his ex-wife Melinda.

In an interview with CBS Mornings, Gates expressed a renewed urgency to deploy his wealth to address global challenges in his lifetime. “I want to see the change happen,” he said.
The foundation plans to spend an estimated $200 billion over the next two decades to combat poverty, disease, and inequity worldwide.
This accelerates the foundation’s original timeline, having already disbursed $100 billion since its beginning in 2000.
Gates’ move comes as global aid budgets face cuts, with the foundation’s annual spending set to reach $9 billion by 2026.
