Two videos acquired by CNN reveal fresh perspectives on the midair collision that occurred on Wednesday night above Washington, D.C.
In these videos, both aircraft are distinctly visible as they approach one another; however, they subsequently explode and descend into the river following the catastrophic explosion.

stjakey wrote; “also doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that the helicopter flew outside its approved flight path whilst the airline pilots most likely did not see the helicopter close by as they made a turn toward the runway. And the air traffic controller, who was juggling two jobs at the same time, was unable to keep the helicopter and the plane separated. 20 second google search, bud.”
