Authorities are currently on a manhunt for a suspect who was filmed on camera robbing an 83-year-old woman’s lottery winnings from a convenience store just after she collected them.
This unfortunate incident which occurred on Wednesday morning, January 15 in Orlando Florida has sparked uproar in the US.

In the statement, the incident is said to have happened outside a store on Curry Ford Road close to the intersection of S. Goldenrod Road the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities shared surveillance footage of the violent robbery on social media showing the unidentified 83-year-old woman carrying what appears to be her recently collected lottery winnings as she leaves the store and heads to her car.

At that point the suspect, whom the authorities identified as Diego Stalin Tavarez Fleury was seen approaching the woman directly and trying to forcibly take the winnings from her hand while she was defending herself.
A second man who was in the convenience store is then seen leaving and seems to step in between the victim and the suspect.
As the good Samaritan tries to remove him from the victim Fleury attacks the woman further in an effort to steal the money.
The woman is seen being pulled from her car farther into the parking lot by Fleury who then takes her winnings and flees.
Authorities said that anyone with information about Fleury’s whereabouts should get in touch with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect is currently at large and wanted for robbery sudden snatching and battery on a person 65 or older.
