During a recent hearing for a five-year civil harassment restraining order, Megan delivered a heartfelt testimony via video. “I want my restraining order because I haven’t been at peace since I was shot,” she stated.
Under oath, Megan expressed her ongoing fear that Tory Lanez might shoot her again, potentially threatening her life this time. The judge, taking her concerns seriously, granted the civil restraining order.

In his ruling, the judge referenced “several uncontroverted facts,” noting the severity of the situation, which included Tory shooting approximately five rounds at Megan, resulting in her injuries. He emphasized, “We have a shooting that took place, and with a violent act like that, there’s a ripple effect that continues.”
Tory’s attorney, Michael Hayden, contended that the restraining order amounted to an unfair infringement on free speech, claiming that Tory has “no desire to communicate with petitioner ever again.”
In response, Megan’s attorney, Mari Henderson, argued that Megan deserves protection after being a victim of such a violent crime.
