Iran’s Defense Minister, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh has confirmed on that they have successfully tested a ballistic missile equipped with a two-ton warhead the previous week.
Speaking after a cabinet meeting in Tehran, he described the test as a significant achievement.

“We have made very good progress in defense affairs. Our operational forces are fully equipped.” he said
The missile’s specifics were not disclosed, but sourves suggested it could be a derivative of the Khorramshahr missile, which has a 1.8-ton warhead and a 2,000 km range, possibly modified for a heavier payload with a shorter range.
The announcement comes within moment of heightened tensions, including stalled nuclear talks with the United States.
It also collides with threats of retaliation against American bases in the region if conflict arises.
It was noted that the warhead’s suitability for targeting hardened infrastructure like underground facilities, highlighting Iran’s advancements in materials science and propulsion.
The test has raised concerns regionally, particularly in Israel, amid claims of Iran acquiring sensitive Israeli military documents.
