The Minority caucus in Parliament has issued a message to President John Dramani Mahama over his actions towards Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo.

Earlier today, president John Dramani Mahama has suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo.
Her suspension came after the president determined a prima facie case established against her in three separate petitions.

The suspension was made in line with Article 146(10) of the Constitution and following the advice of the Council of State.
Minority in Parliament responded to the suspension just hours after the decision was made public.

According to them, the suspension is a clear violation of Due process and a politically motivated one.
They went on to accuse president Mahama of trying to gain access to the judicial department.
