An X user with the name @shamseddinGiwa has taken to the platform to reveal the reason why most African women grow wings when they travel abroad.

In his write-up, he revealed that the main reason has to do with women being abused in their African homes.

Thus, as soon as they get the opportunity to travel to these European countries where the law favours women, they grow wings because they have the backing of the law.

He wrote, “A wife that was not being treated well is likely to grow a voice when you relocate abroad to a country that gives her a voice and strengthens her economically.”

“Many of the claims “she grew wings abroad” began from abusive marriages at home.”
