Tartor Ayihe, a man who people believe to be a landowner, is said to have killed himself in Benue State.
To confirm the incident on his page, a Facebook user identified as Agba Jay, said the late land owner took a poisonous substance which was suspected to be a sniper on Wednesday evening, January 15, 2025.

Pointing to the statement of Agba, the late, just before breathing his last, was suspected of having sold a plot of land to three different people.
“A young man by name Mr Tartor Ayihe from Ayihe Village committed suicide by taking snipper earlier this evening after selling a plot of land to three different persons whom all assembled for enquiry at the Chiefs (Zaki’s Residence),” he wrote.

“He left the gathering with an excuse to get something in the house, he rather went to three different shops in search of sniper.
“He succeeded and went home, switched off his phone and drank the whole bottle of sniper.

“Having waited for him for a long time, the chief sent people to his house where it was discovered he drank sniper.
“He died on arrival at the hospital.”
