Two men arrested in Kenya for posing as female massage therapists to scam men online

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Kasarani, Nairobi-Kenya, have arrested two con artists who pose as massage therapists online.

Alex Mugo Wachira and Simon Chomba Mbogo were arrested for allegedly running an online scam by posing as female massage therapists.

The suspects allegedly lured clients through deceptive advertisements on social media, promising professional massage services, only to rob them at knifepoint.

According to authorities, the duo advertised their services on various online platforms, using images of models to create convincing profiles.

One client, who responded to an advertisement, was invited to their residence in Kasarani, where he was robbed of Sh280,000 during the encounter.

DCI officers were able to track the suspects down using digital forensic tools, locating them near the Kamiti Prison area, where they were reportedly spending the proceeds from their scheme.

Alex and Simon are currently being held by the police as they are being arraigned for court.
