After changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of Ameica, it seems Trump is not done changing the name of other Gulfs.
President Donald Trump is expected to announce during his upcoming trip to Saudi Arabia next week that the United States will officially refer to the Persian Gulf as the Arabian Gulf or Gulf of Arabia, according to two U.S. officials.
This decision was made with the long-standing advocacy of Arab nations such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE. However, it is likely to increase tensions with Iran, which has strongly defended the historical name tied to its Persian Empire heritage.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the reported plan, calling it a “politically motivated affront” to Iran’s national identity.
“The Persian Gulf is not just a name. It is part of who we are,” an Iranian diplomat said anonymously.

The Persian Gulf is a critical waterway bordered by Iran to the east and Arab states to the west, has been known by that name since at least the 16th century.
However, many Middle Eastern countries use “Arabian Gulf” in official communications. The U.S. military has already adopted “Arabian Gulf” in its statements for years, but a formal White House endorsement would mark a significant policy shift.
