Lately Kenya has been making waves on the media for severally reasons. They are mostly gaining traction for the wrong reasons.
In a recent shocking incident, thieves in Kenya broke into a church, drank the alter wine, ate all the sacraments, before stealing church items.

The congregation of ACK St. Matthew’s Mutithi Church in Kirinyaga was left in shock after realizing thieves broke into the Catholic church on the night of May 27, 2025.
According to reports from Tuko and Kenyan Post, the intruders consumed the church’s altar wine and sacramental bread—sacred elements symbolizing the body and blood of Christ in Christian tradition—before making off with a piano used for Sunday services.
The theft was discovered by choir members who noticed the missing keyboard, as confirmed by the church’s Vice Chairman, Eliud Githaka.

“Church items were scattered everywhere,” a church member told Tuko. “I could not believe that someone could eat the sacrament and drink altar wine.”
The incident has disrupted the church’s preparations for upcoming services, particularly impacting the music ministry, which relied heavily on the stolen piano.
Police are now pursuing the suspects, though no arrests have been reported yet.
