SEC announces 10-year jail term for Ponzi scheme operators in Nigeria

It’s about to be a showdown between Ponzi Scheme operators in Nigeria and the Nigerian government.

For years now, fraud has taken over Nigeria and other African countries with the west African giants known for it worldwide.

With the countries image continuely damaged with fraudulent activities, government is rising up to tackle it.

Management of SEC made it clear they formally packed the needed legal framework to tackle Ponzi schemes in the country.

However, a new law has now given them the upper hand to clamp down on agencies operating such schemes.

If anyone or agency is found guilty, there is a hefty fine to be paid and then wrapped it up with 10 years jail term.
