Russia reportedly sent special forces trained with unique skills to Burkina Faso to boost their security

Russia has reportedly sent some military personnel trained with unique skills to support Burkina Faso.

African Hub reported in an X post that the Forces were sent to Burkina Faso with explicit instructions from President Putin.

The main purpose of Putin’s action is to safeguard the presidency of Burkina Faso, as well as their leader Captain Ibrahim Traore.

This development comes at a time when Western powers, led by France, have converged in Ivory Coast to strategize on an invasion of Burkina Faso.

They alleged that Captain Ibrahim Traore has exploited Burkina Faso’s gold for personal interests.

Russia and Burkina Faso are beginning to have a good relationship with the two leaders, Captain Traore and Putin already on the same page in discussing certain policies.

Also, it was revealed just days ago that Captain Ibrahim Traore has granted a Russian firm the chance to mine gold in the country.
