Rodri hits back at Cristiano Ronaldo for saying Vinicius deserve the Ballon D’Or

Spanish midfielder, Rodri had responded to Cristiano Ronaldo after he said Viní Jr not winning the Ballon d’Or was unfair.

Ronaldo let out his opinion during the recently held Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai.

Speaking at the Awards ceremony, The Portuguese talisman question the Ballon D’Or’s credibility after Rodri won the award ahead of Vinicius Junior.

In response to Ronaldo’s comments, Rodri revealed he is surprised by the Al Nassr star’s comments, claim he should have known better since he won the award multiple times.

“It was a surprise really because he knows better than anyone how this award works and, above all, how the winner is chosen.

This year, journalists who vote decided I should win. Probably, these same journalists were the ones who at some point voted for him to win, and I imagine then he would have agreed…”
