The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky has disclosed that the reason why Putin agreed to peace talk with Trump was because he is afraid of him.
In an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour at the Munich Security Conference in Berlin on Saturday, Zelensky said he told during his recent phone call with Trump, he told him Putin was afraid of him (Trump).

This statement followed after Christiane asked, “Did you tell as reported, that President Putin was only this, and agreeing to talks, because he was afraid of Trump? Did you tell him that?”
“Yes. I told Trump, that Putin afraid of him. Yes and he heard me. And now Putin knows,” he responded wryly.
On Thursday, Donald Trump revealed that he had a long phone call with Putin where they discussed several topics including possibly ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.
At the end of the call, the two president’s agreed to begin talks and also agree to be visiting each other’s countries very soon.
In his interview, Zelensky also stated that he was “not happy” about the fact that Trump called Putin before calling him and also said Trump hasn’t provided any commitment to meeting Zelensky but however he understands the need for them to meet urgently.
