List of 12 Countries President Donald Trump bans from entering the US is realised

President Donald Trump has signed a new document banning nationals of 12 Countries from entering The United States Of America.

The proclamation was signed by President Donald Trump himself on June 4, 2025, citing national security concerns among the affected countries.

The countries affected by the full ban are:

Afghanistan, Burma (Myanmar), Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea
,Eritrea, Haiti, lran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan
,Yemen.

Additionally, partial restrictions were imposed on seven other countries:

Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela, limiting certain visa categories like tourist and student visas.

The ban, which according to the White House, takes effec from June 9, 2025, exempts existing visa holders, green card holders.

It will also excepmt athletes traveling for major events, and certain Afghans eligible for Special Immigrant Visas.

The policy comes after an executive order signed on January 20, 2025, directing a review of countries’ screening capabilities.
