Renowned Guinean reggae musician and activist Elie Kamano has arrived in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, to present his new single tittles “IB Kouma” dedicated to President Ibrahim Traore.

During his visit, Kamano publicly expressed his desire to obtain Burkinabè citizenship to show solidarity with Burkina Faso and the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), which includes Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger.
He stated his intention to settle permanently in Burkina Faso, citing his support for Traoré’s leadership and the AES’s push for sovereignty.
Kamano also mentioned facing persecution in Guinea, including the reported signal of his Guinean passport to Interpol.
He made a huge allegations that his passport has been restricted and flagged by interpol to avoid his mobility in his pan-Africanist activism.

Kamano, known for his politically engaged music and pan-Africanist stance, plans to shoot the music video for “IB Kouma” in Ouagadougou.
His request for citizenship has not yet received an official response from Burkinabè authorities.
