In a remarkable blend of luxury and charity, Pope Francis received a bespoke Lamborghini Huracán RWD from Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. during a special ceremony at the Vatican in November 2017.

The sleek supercar, painted in the Vatican’s signature white and gold colors, was a one-of-a-kind gift to the pontiff, symbolizing both craftsmanship and goodwill.

In a gesture reflecting his humility, Pope Francis blessed and autographed the vehicle, ensuring it would serve a greater purpose.

The car was later auctioned by RM Sotheby in Monaco on May 12, 2018, fetching an impressive €715,000 (approximately $950,000 at the time).

True to the Pope’s mission of compassion, all proceeds were donated to charities supporting Iraqi Christians displaced by conflict, victims of human trafficking, and missionary work in Africa.

The auction drew global attention, highlighting Pope Francis’ ability to transform a symbol of extravagance into a beacon of hope for those in need.

The event underscored his ongoing commitment to using his platform to uplift the marginalized, proving that even a supercar can become a vehicle for change.
