We have gathered that a Nigerian police officer, Daniel Amah was honoured for rejecting a large fortune of money and has converted to Islam.
Bashir Ahmad, the former media aide to immediate past President Muhammadu Buhari, celebrated Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr Daniel Amah’s conversion to Islam at the palace of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.

It was reported that the police chief became an Islamic convert while staying at the palace of Mohammadu Sanusi II the Emir of Kano.
The former presidential aide’s tweet reads in part: “ACP Daniel Amah, with whom I have maintained a very good relationship since I first met him in 2018, is one of the most exemplary and upright police officers in this country.
In 2022, Daniel received the IGP Award for his integrity after rejecting a $200,000 bribe from armed robbers.”

Amah a former Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Kano States Bompai Division gained a reputation as a police officer who was honest and moral in a corrupt nation.
In April 2022 Amah was working on a case involving a suspect who had set up armed robbers to follow and rob a Bureau De Change operator when she turned down a bribe of $200000 or roughly N100 million.

Amah gained national recognition for his extraordinary act of integrity and his peers began to revere him as a folk hero.
Usman Baba the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and former President Buhari acknowledged and commended Amah for her excellent behavior.
The Police Service Commission (PSC) awarded him a N1 million cash reward and promoted him from Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).

Because of his dedication to protecting the law and fighting corruption, Amah is a shining example of what it means to be a good police officer in Nigeria.
