American comedian and television personality, Nick Cannon has publicly disclosed that he is suffering from a health condition known as Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).
Nick Cannon in an episode of his podcast dubbed ‘Counsel Culture’ he conceded that he needs help while sharing all the symptoms of the NPD illness.
According to the father, the Narcissistic Personality Disorder has adversely impacted on life.
Nick opened up to People revealing that he always had a feeling has not been properly diagnosed and that is why he had to undergo a series of tests to examine what is happening to him.

“I still don’t understand it all the way, but I kind of always wanted to get tested for it. I did a bunch of tests,” Cannon, 44, told the outlet.
“I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD. Even as a kid it was dyslexia, but just knowing that I’m just a neurodivergent individual, I kind of always knew.”
Mayo Clinic reveals that persons suffering from the Narcissistic Personality Disorder mostly struggle with being empathic towards others and think highly of themselves thus prioritising their life more.
Mayo Clinic also stated that such people also want to get people’s attention always.

He stated that despite being hit with the NPD, he is channelling his efforts into becoming the best version of himself.
“I feel like there’s so many labels out there, but it’s like, to be able to embrace it and say, ‘Look, I’m healing. I need help. Show me.’ I just embrace mental health and therapy in such a strong way,” he said.
“To be able to say I’m an example for others, but also be healing during the self-process works too.”
Cannon first revealed his diagnosis during the November 8 episode of his podcast, alongside special guest Dr. Cheyenne Bryant, a doctor of psychology.

The comedian said he had been “clinically diagnosed” with the condition, and has “taken all the power away from the term narcissism” by “researching it and understanding it.”
“Call me whatever you want… now if I didn’t know what it was, then I have issue with it,” he added.
