Brazilian superstar Neymar has relinquished a staggering $65M of his remaining salary at Al Hilal to return to his childhood club, Santos.

The mutual dismissal of Neymar Jr. has been confirmed by the Saudi club Al Hilal’s contract making it possible for him to rejoin Santos FC, the team with which he began his professional career.

Over ten years after leaving for FC Barcelona in 2013 the 32-year-old Brazilian forward is returning to the São Paulo-based team.
Neymar made the decision to return to Brazil because of a challenging stint with Al Hilal; injuries limited him to merely seven matches and a solitary goal since joining in 2023.

Before leaving Al Hilal, Neymar reportedly agreed to forfeit $71 million in unpaid wages, because he wanted to facilitate the move.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Neymar will travel this week to Brazil for a medical and sign in as the new Santos player.
