American rapper, NBA YoungBoy will be spending 27 months in prison custody.
This comes after the rapper pleaded guilty to his part in a large-scale prescription drug fraud ring.

In the transaction, the rapper is said to have posed as a doctor and tried to dupe various pharmacies into selling him cough syrup with codeine.
As a result, he was sentenced to 2.2 years (27 months) in federal prison which is a huge blow to him and his career.

Interestingly, the rapper has been involved in other legal issues including a probation violation related to a 2021 arrest.
The charges stemmed from a firearms-related incident, and despite being on probation for a previous case, he faced legal consequences for the violation.

His sentence has been the subject of much discussion, especially given his popularity in the rap scene.
While incarcerated, NBA YoungBoy has continued to have a strong fan base and release music, which keeps his career moving forward even while he’s behind bars.
His legal battles have been ongoing, with many hoping for his early release.
