MTN revealed woman who’s 11k vanished from her account unknowingly shared OTP & verification link with a fraudster

MTN Ghana has responded to claims by a woman that the company tempered with her mobile money pin.

Just two days ago, a lady came online in tears, sharing a sad moment she realized her mobile money account has been emptied.

According to her, she did not request or approved any transaction but found out over GHS11,000 has been withdrawn from her account.

MTN Launched a quick ingestion into her case to know the source of the transaction and it turned out that it was a Fraudster who did the job.

According to MTN, their findings suggests the lady had shared a One Time Password (OTP) With the Fraudster.

She also might have clicked on a One Time verification password link generated by the Fraudster upon making her a target.
