The police in Ekiti state have arrested a 23-year-old man identified as Solomon Fabiyi for allegedly attempting to use his little Nephew, Jomiloju, for money rituals.
Solomon was apprehended by a team of police officers in Ekiti state on February 14, 2025.

While interrogated, the suspect, who hails from Kwara state but was born in Ekiti state, said he was told by the native doctor that he was to provide someone with whom they could perform money rituals on his behalf.
He narrated that the native doctors had told him the sacrifice would be performed in such a way that the chosen person would survive but be incapacitated with an ailment for the rest of his life.

Solomon said he chose to present his nephew and that he intended to ensure that his nephew while battling the ailment, gets the education and “good life” he deserves while he gets the money from the sacrifice.

He said he lives with Jomiloju’s mother and helps to look after Jomiloju.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, Sunday Abutu, said the suspect confessed to the crime and has been charged in court.
