Maleek Basintale vow by his late father’s grave not to renew Zoomlion contract

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Youths Employment Agency (YEA) Maleek Basintale has responded to ongoing issues surrounding the Zoomlion contract.

It has been reported that Government pays Zoomlion an amount of GHS 850 monthly for each employee but management of the company pays workers as low as GHS 250.

A large section of Ghanaians, led by Manasseh Azuri has asked the Youth Employment Agency not to renew the said Contract.

In an X post, Maleek Basintale, CEO of YEA swore on his father’s grave that he will not renew the contract in it’s current State.

According to him, the previous government constantly renew the Zoomlion contract without review but that isn’t going to happen anymore.

“All my life, I have fought for integrity and for the better placement of the Youth and people of Ghana.For 7years, 9 months, the NPP renewed the Zoomlion contract in its current state paying the Ghanaian Youth/worker Ghc250.H.E @JDMahama came to review, reset and bring Ghana back on track.” He wrote in an X post

The YEA CEO assured Ghanaians they will look into the satisfactory of workers employed by Zoomlion.

“This includes ensuring that every worker is paid satisfactorily for the work done. I promise on my honor as i stand by the grave of my late DAD, NOT to RENEW the contract in its CURRENT STATE or FORM. It is EVIL for the Previous government to have committed to this and I SHALL STOP IT. My brothers and sisters, On December 7th, 2024, Change came and Change must Happen.

If my mother/Brother/Sister were a Zoomlion worker, I won’t be happy with either of them taking Ghc250 as Salary and as such I can’t be happy with you, your mother, father, brother or sister taking same. I Shall be live tonight at 8pm here on Facebook to take reviews, comments and the way Forward. May God bless us all. We Can’t Fail the Masses.” He added
