Lady who was charged 450k for taking transport fare and not showing finally breaks silence

Recently, a Nigerian lady went viral after she appeared in court and was charged N450,000 or face 7-year jail term for taking transport from a guy and failing to visit him.

The lady has finally broken her silence on the issue by sharing her fide of the story. The lady’s side brings a whole new perspective to the story.

According to the lady, Emmanuel was someone she had only met online. They had never seen in person.

A while after they started chatting, Emmanuel insisted she travel from Asaba to Abuja to meet him, despite her refusal.

“Before Emmanuel sent that money to me for transportation, I told him he should come over to my city. He said no, that he cannot visit a woman.”

“Out of the blue, this guy just sent me N50,000, saying it was transport fare to come and see him. Where will N50,000 take me from Asaba to Abuja?” she explained.

She revealed that after she failed to appear, she started receiving calls and threats from people, especially friends of Emmanuel.

After receiving all the calls and threats, she finally reached out to him to send his account number which he refused.

Two days after the incident, she called him again and tried to invite the guy over to her end since the money was not enough for her transport.

“The whole case has been resolved now, I gave him 450,000. Obviously, he’s nothing to me, that was why I was surprised when he sent me 50,000 naira for transport,” she expressed her relief.

She also advised her fellow women claiming this is a new strategy men are using to extort money from them but they are “equal to the task.”

Concluding the video, she expressed her surprise on how the court room video came out and called out the person who recorded her.
