Japan has decided not to side with the US to form any economic bloc against China

The ongoing trade war between the United States and China has reached another level.and Japan is the latest country to make their stance clear.

According to Cyrus Janssen, Japan has made the decision to not follow the United States and form an economic bloc against China.

This is a significant move that China would welcome with open heart considering the relationship they have for years.

This decision also didn’t come easily for the Japanese government Japanese as they equally had a great relationship and followed the US closely for multiple years now.

For the past 120 years, there have been a United States Military bases in Japan, highlighting the great bond between the two countries.

It has also been revieled by Cyrus Janssen that Japan heavily relies on China for majority of it’s manufacturing inputs.

This simply means that should Japan accept to follow the US and form an economic bloc against China, it’ll take a toll on their own interest and benefits they enjoyed from China.

In an X post, Janssen wrote:

“Japan has made the decision to NOT follow the United States and form an economic bloc against China. This is a bold move from the Japanese government who has always followed the US closely (don’t forget over 120 US Military bases in Japan) But the cold hard truth? Japan relies on China for majority of it’s manufacturing inputs and this would simply go against the long term strategic interest of Japan.”
