“Sub-Saharan Africa has been fundamental to the global prosperity of advanced countries, and Africa had a role to play,” Nicholas revealed during a press conference.

“It has a role as a raw material producer. We will not allow Sub-Saharan Africa to escape that. We will do everything to keep sub-Saharan Africa where it is, also impoverished,” he continued.

According to Howard, keeping the continent poor is “vital for the prosperity of everyone” and in the best interest of everyone.
