Israeli authorities reported the hospital sustained a direct hit with two people seriously injured and around 40 others wounded, mostly with light injuries.
Twenty patients were evacuated, and police were still assessing the full extent of the damage.
The incident was reported by the Israeli prime minister himself, who took to his X handle to make the announcement.
His X post Reads: “This morning, Iran’s terrorist tyrants launched missiles at Soroka hospital in Beersheba and at a civilian population in the center of the country”.
However, Iranian state media claimed the primary target was an adjacent IDF command and intelligence headquarters and not the hospital itself.
The media asserted that the hospital was affected by the shockwave or an interceptor missile.

These claims remain a debate in the public and Israel has accused Iran of intentionally targeting civilian areas.
The attack followed Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear and military sites, including an Arak heavy water reactor, escalating the ongoing conflict.
