Ed Sheeran was in India performing when a police officer abruptly ended his show, preventing him from singing in public.

A circulating video captured the renowned singer giving a live performance on Church Street in Bengaluru.
As he began his well-known song ‘Shape of You,’ a crowd started to gather.

However, just a minute into the song, the police intervened and disconnected the power to Sheeran’s microphone.
Later that day, after the Bengaluru police halted his street performance, Ed Sheeran, the British singer-songwriter, addressed what had happened.

“We had permission to busk, by the way. Hence, us playing in that exact spot was planned out beforehand. It wasn’t just us randomly turning up. All good though. See you at the show tonight x,” Sheeran posted on his Instagram story.
The authorities claimed the event didn’t have the required official permission, whereas Sheeran’s team insisted it was a brief performance that had been approved in advance.
