On Saturday, December 28 2024, police in Maharashtra Parbhani district reported that a man had burned his wife alive after she gave birth to their third daughter.
A nearby CCTV camera captured the incident which happened Thursday night in Gangakhed Naka which is roughly 520 kilometres from Mumbai.

According to a complaint her sister filed the accused Kundlik Uttam Kale (32) frequently quarreled with his wife Maina about their three daughters.
Kale doused Maina with gasoline and set her ablaze during one of these arguments.
As Maina screamed and fled the house neighbors tried to put out the fire.
But on the way to the hospital, she was severely burned and died.
Kale has been arrested on murder charges by the Gangakhed police.
