In a surprising turn of events, Captain Ibrahim Traore’s bodyguard has revealed details of a deal he received to eliminate him.
According to him, he was promised a whopping amount of $5 million to kill Traore when he was vulnerable but he turned it down.

“I was offered five million dollars to beat Ibrahim Traore while he was kneeling and praying to his God.”!

“They also promised me and my family citizenship in that country. I wondered how I would accept this offer. For them, money is above human dignity,” he continued.
According to the guard, he questioned himself if the deal was worth his leader’s life and if it will ever bring honor to him and his family.

“I asked myself, Can five million dollars cover my guilt forever? Will this money make me a king in a foreign land or a fool who is laughed at by their sons and daughters?”
“I would rather live like a lion in my own land than live like a dog in their city!” the bodyguard concluded.
Traore has already survived 18 assassination attempt including this revelation.
