I support Donald Trump’s decision to deport hundreds of Zimbabweans living illegally in the US – Zimbabwe’s President, Mnangagwa speaks

Zimbabwe President, Emmerson Mnangagwa has publicly declared his approval of the deportation of Zimbabweans who are living in the United States without legal authorization.

In a post on X which used to be Twitter, Mnangagwa said that his government agrees with the repatriation efforts.

This aligns with the US policy under President Donald Trump’s tougher immigration rules.

His tweet reads;

The government of Zimbabwe supports the United States Government’s decision to repatriate and return our Zimbabwean citizens who may have been residing in the US illegally.

The announcement comes after the US government revealed plans to deport 545 Zimbabweans.

Daily detentions have exceeded 500 undocumented individuals.

The crackdown includes measures like cutting aid to developing nations and pushing for mass deportations.

However, many people are concerned about the impact of these actions on families and communities.
