Ghanaian man arrested in Lagos for illegal possession of cannabis

Authorities in Nigeria have arrested a Ghanaian-British national for the unlawful possession of cannabis.

20-year-old Osei Parker Darren was arrested by the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Lagos Airport.

Osei was arrested during the inward clearance of passengers aboard an Ethiopian Airlines flight from Bangkok, Thailand.

He was carrying a pink suitcase which contained 36 packs (19.4 kg) of loud, a very potent type of cannabis.

Upon investigation, it was revealed that he is a student of University of East London. He is reading Computer Science.

Darren is now in custody waiting to be arraigned for court.
