French President Emmanuel Macron stated that France will not abandon its former African colonies.

According to the French president, Africa is not yet ready to thrive independently as it still faces significant challenges that hinder its ability to achieve full self-sufficiency.

Speaking at an event, Macron emphasized France’s ongoing role in supporting the continent’s growth, describing Africa as the least developed region and suggesting that a complete withdrawal could halt progress.

He suggested that a complete withdrawal of French support could jeopardize ongoing development efforts and slow the progress that many nations are striving to achieve.
