A foster mum in Missouri, allegedly swaped her daughter for a monkey just to boost her collection of exotic animals.
70-year-old Brenda Deutsch has been accused of trading a child for a monkey and is now facing felony charges following a disturbing child abuse investigation.
Deutsch, a longtime foster mother who has cared for over 200 children, is now under intense scrutiny regarding her past.
The investigation was launched after an anonymous tip suggested that Deutsch may have arranged a swap involving a child and an exotic monkey, revealing layers of alleged abuse and neglect.

Despite her extensive history in foster care, there are troubling allegations surrounding her behavior, including an obsession with animals that has led to criminal activity.
A witness came forward with information that prompted a deeper investigation. Lincoln County Prosecutor Mike Wood stated that the tipster claimed Deutsch had once asked them to take a child to Texas in exchange for a monkey.

“A witness who provided information about the systemic abuse occurring in the home reported that they had been asked to take a child to Texas and bring the monkey back in return,” Wood explained.
It is alleged that Brenda knew the person she made the trade with. Brenda traded the child forbyhe animal in Texas.
Currently, she is being charged with three felony counts of neglect, child abuse, and child endangering. Prosecution is still seeking to add more charges as the case proceeds.
