The former Arsenal star has long been on the wanted list of the Ghana Football Association to represent Ghana at the international level.

It was clear at that point that the youngster wasn’t ready to make the decision to play for Black Stars yet at that moment.

The striker confessed his number one priority was to play for the English National team but didn’t rule out representing Ghana.

According to him, he came through the junior ranks playing for England and it would definitely be a priority for everyone including himself to continue that journey into the Senior side.

However, he is also expecting a call up from Ghana, which he wouldn’t hesitate to honor.

“When I was younger, playing for England made sense after coming through the youth ranks. But if Ghana call me up, I’ll be there.” He said

Nketiah was born in England to a Ghanaian father which means he’s qualified to play for any of the two countries.
