Premier Leage refereer, David Coote is currently under investigation by the Football Association over allegation of discussing booking of a player ahead of the game.
The matter at hand involves a Champion match between Leeds and West Bromwich in October 2019.
The Sun Newspaper reports that David Coote had a direct text message conversation with a ‘friend’ that hinted that Leeds player, Ezgjan Alioski would be booked in the course of the match which took place at Elland Road in 2019.

During the game at the 18th minute, David Coote booked Alioksi with a yellow card after the latter tackled West Brom’s Darnell Furlong with a slide.
The next day, David Coote sent his friend a message saying ” ‘What a day yesterday. I hope you backed as discussed.’
A Spokesperson of the FA confirmed on Tuesday night the issues is currently under investigation

‘These are very serious allegations and we are investigating as a matter of urgency,’ read a statement.
The Sun reports that David Coote has dismissed the claims of such while emphasising that he wasn’t compensated in any form.
He also defended his decision to book Alioski considering the kind of tackle he administered during his encounter with Furlong.
