Elon Musk’s Starlink team held a meeting with President Museveni on opening business to provide cheaper and faster satellite linked internet in Uganda

Ugandans are likely to have Starlink soon in their country if things go as planned for the American network company.

Starlink bosses arrived earlier today in Uganda and held a meeting with President Museveni.

Their main purpose for the meeting is to get his blessings and discuss details of setting up open an internet business in the country.

Reports elsays Sarlink promised to provide  cheaper and faster Satellite linked Internet to Ugandans.

It will include, connections to Ugandans living in remote areas of the country.

Previously, Starlink was uncomfortable with the government policy of selling a percentage of shares to the public before opening in Uganda.

The company is aiming to operate solely without any binding rules or strict policies governing them.

Some Ugandans believe that nce they hit the market, other telecommution firms in the country will be forced to drop their high data charges.
