Elon Musk has praised the vehicle for limiting damage after his Tesla Cybertruck exploded in flames outside the Trump International Hotel.
The incident occurred in Las Vegas on Wednesday, January 1 killing the driver and injuring seven others.
According to officials, the FBI was looking into whether the explosion was an act of terrorism.

The vehicle exploded and flames poured out of it as it sat outside the hotel according to witness footage captured both inside and outside the establishment.
It happened hours after a man killed 15 people in New Orleans on New Year’s Day when he crashed a truck into crowds of people celebrating the holiday.
After ramming the crowd the suspect—named Shamsud-Din Jabbar 42—a US citizen from Texas who had previously served in Afghanistan—was shot and killed by police.

Las Vegas Police released a new video of the exploded Cybertruck outside of the Trump Hotel, showing explosive ordinances in the back Police credited the lack of damage to the Trump Hotel to the strength of the Cybertruck, as it remained mostly intact.
Musk claimed that the Cybertruck itself had nothing to do with the explosion.
“We have now confirmed that the explosion was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck and is unrelated to the vehicle itself,” Musk said in a post on X.

In another tweet early Thursday morning, Musk praised the cyber truck for limiting damage.
“The evil knuckleheads picked the wrong vehicle for a terrorist attack. Cybertruck actually contained the explosion and directed the blast upwards. “
Not even the glass doors of the lobby were broken”.
