American President, Donald Trump, has welcomed American school teacher and former diplomat, Marc Fogel back into the white house. Marc was has just been released from prison for 3.5 years.
In 2021, Fogel was charged with carrying a small amount of medical marijuana. The marijuana was prescribed in the US. Fogel was given a 14 year prison sentence following the discovery.

In an interview, Marc said he was highly indepted to President Trump for his release. “I feel like I am the luckiest man in the world right now,” he stated.
He also stated his release was “a show of good faith”. He also emphasized that it could play a big role in ending the Russia – Ukraine war.
Marc’s release was secured following negotiations led by U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, appointed by President Donald Trump. Upon his return to the United States, Fogel met with President Trump at the White House.

As at February 11, Trump has been able to free 7 hostages/prisoners including some from Russia and Venezuela. This act by the president has received lots of appraisal frkn Americans and netizens.
