China is setting the standards high once again when it comes to corruption among government appointees.
The Asian country has sentenced one of their senior political adviser to death over bribery and corruption.

Reports says the victim, who’s only option after court Verdict is to face death sentence pocketed over $36 million in bribes over 30 years.
Identified as Han Yong, he is a former Party Secretary and Chairman of Shaanxi Provincial Committee.
Having served as a an adviser for years, Hang Yong was involved in signing shady deals with some percentages to himself.
An investigation was launched after the current Chinese government suspected his dubious transactions.
He was found guilty of the allegations and handed the death sentence with a two-year reprieve.

China is known to be one of the countries that goes hard on corrupt leaders and unlike some countries where leaders are jailed for years only without any further punishment, they give out death sentences instead.
This according to the Chinese government, will serve as a warning to all other government appointees to not engage in any form of bribery.
