Since taking over power, Burkina Faso has experienced fast-paced development under President Ibrahim Traore.
Burkina Faso welcomed 115 brand-new buses as part of President Ibrahim Traoré’s directive to modernize urban transportation nationwide.
The initiative aims to reduce commuting costs, improve safety with professionally trained drivers, and create sustainable employment opportunities.
So far, 200 drivers have been hired, with more job openings expected soon.
The buses, including models manufactured by Ashok Leyland in Chennai, India, are part of a broader strategy to nationalize public transit in the country.
