Burkina Faso has taken a significant step toward industrialization and economic self-sufficiency.
They intend to achieve this with the opening of its first large-scale detergent production facility in the country.
The project, located at the Fassi Industrial Complex, in Napamboum, Pabré was launched on March 6, 2025.
Details of the contract revealed the detergent processing plant, who h was inaugurated by President Ibrahim Traoré, cost approximately $7.4 million.
It has a production capacity of 300 tons of detergent per day which means it is capable of creating over 1,700 jobs, including 122 permanent positions.
The factory is already in operation and produces “Fassi Flash Action” powdered detergent and plans to expand into liquid detergents sookn.
The country also has bigger ambitions that the plant will go on to produce ball soaps, dishwashing liquids, and bleach in future.
