Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali are currently making joint plans to rejoin ECOWAS but will no longer represent as individual countries.
The three countries decided to opt out of ECOWAS after successful military coup takeover.

According to new reports, the three countries want to make joint effort towards development.
Instead of getting back into ECOWAS as individual countries, they will instead merge as joint a force and present themselves as one representative.
Many believe that If this happens, then the Sahel States will be like the Soviet union in Africa.
It is important to note that, Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger are currently being rules by Military juntas.
They are yet to hold elections to elect a new leader under a democratic rule following the military takeover.
