A look into Burkina Faso’s first fully indigenous electric vehicle, ITAOUA.

Burkina Faso has taken a significant step in sustainable transportation by unveiling its first fully indigenous electric vehicle months ago.

The brilliant initiative which was a dream for many in the country was made possible by Burkinabe manufacturer ITAOUA.

It is a common knowledge that such initiatives doesn’t come cheap hence this marks a historic achievement in the country’s automotive industry.

The ITAOUA is a 100% electric, solar-powered vehicle with a 330-kilometer range on a 30-minute charge.

This is one of the major developmental steps taken so far by the Captain Ibrahim Traore administration as he aim to bring total change to the country.

Since taking over as the leader of the country through a military coup, Captain Traore has been a man loves not only by the citizens of Burkina Faso but also a large section of Africans.
