18-year-old guy runs for mayor of Fairfield in Alabama

In a rare and uncommon event, an 18-year-old in Fairfield, Alabama, Brandon Moss is making waves by running for mayor.

Moss addressed concerns about his youthful age. He emphasized his hands-on experience gave him an advantage.

He had worked closely with local politicians and served as the executive assistant to the superintendent of Birmingham City Schools.

The recent Ramsay High School graduate is campaigning to replace Mayor Eddie Penny, who is not seeking re-election, in the August 26 election.

Moss aims to tackle issues like blight, crime, and economic decline, promising innovative solutions and community engagement for the city of about 9,500 residents.
