Francis Van-Lare has defended his daughter following the tragic death of her former partner in the United States.
Dr. Ikenna Erinne, a Nigerian cardiologist practising in the US took his own life on January 26.

Reports circulating online suggested that he made this choice because he had lost a custody battle and was mandated to pay child support amounting to $15,000 each month; additionally, it was claimed that his medical license had been revoked.

However, Van-Lare has now contended that Dr. Erinne’s license was never revoked in any state across the US.

In a recent post, he asserted that the late doctor was actually required to pay only $1,900 per month in child support, contradicting the $15,000 figure that has been disseminated online.
He proceeded to share bank statements that illustrated the amounts the deceased had paid monthly.
Moreover, he alleged that the deceased occasionally made only partial payments, characterizing him as a “dead beat dad.”
