The US State Department has frozen nearly all foreign assistance to all parts of the world.
This will take immediately effect after President Donald Trump issued a sweeping executive order Monday to put a hold on such aid for 90 days.

It was reported that President Trump’s executive order issued on Monday is one for a 90-day pause in foreign development assistance.
The order is currently pending a review of efficiencies and consistency with his foreign policy.

The United States is known to be world’s biggest international aid donor to having spent $68bn in 2023 according to government figures.
The State Department notice appears to affect everything from development assistance to military aid.
